There are 28 thread colours in this kit. There are some but not many backstitches, these are used to give detail to the windows, to sharpen the edges of some of the buildings and smooth the line of the tree trunk.
The finished size of this design 100 x 75 stitches, approx. 7” x 5”.

Malham is in the Pennines just north of Skipton. It is a popular walkers destination and the long distance path ‘The Pennine Way’ passes right through the village.
The area around Malham is famous for its spectacular limestone scenery. The main attractions include Malham Cove (a sheer limestone cliff), Malham Tarn, Gordale Scar (a limestone gorge with 2 waterfalls) and Janet’s Foss
Charles Kingsley was inspired to write the children’s classic ‘The Water Babies’ after visiting here.
