Whilst Shepherds Watched In this design there are only 4 thread colours. Most of the threads used are regular Anchor 6 stranded cottons but I have also used Anchor Marlett, a white rayon thread that gives a nice sheen to the star. It is difficult to achieve a degree of realism in such a small pattern without including other stitches and although there are only a few half stitches there are quite a few backstitches in this design! The kits include a high quality aperture card and white envelope. These cards are available in several colours; Hammered White (a very snow-like texture) or a Christmassy Bright Red.
