Glencoe from the Ballachulish Bridge
There are 21 thread colours in this design, which has no fractional stitches but does include some backstitching. This is very important as they add the finishing touch giving a more accurate look to the skyline. Finished size of this design is 100 x 75 stitches, approx. 7” x 5”

One of Scotland’s best known Highland Glens and the centre for some of the best mountaineering in the country. The ‘Glen of Weeping’ has a very haunting atmosphere probably due to its being the site of the infamous massacre of the MacDonald Clan by the Campbells in 1692.
The more usual views would be from the head of the glen with the dramatic Buachaille Etive Mhor and Black Rock Cottage or of Three Sisters in the very heart of the glen. However, I preferred this gentler view looking towards the foot of the glen with Loch Leven in the foreground, the very distinctive Pap of Glencoe on the left and the Anoach Eagach Ridge in the centre.
